The Network

Direct’s network is a peer-to-peer mesh of RPC nodes. Instead of routing every request through one central endpoint, Direct picks the best node for each request and connects you across the network.

Who’s in the network

• Independent node runners who serve requests and set their own price.
• Third-party RPC providers who plug their capacity into the network.
• Direct’s own infrastructure, run and connected alongside everyone else.

Direct pays providers for the requests they serve, and for each request it routes to the provider offering the best performance, reliability, and price for the region being served. Because providers compete, access stays fast and cheap — and Direct passes that efficiency on to you.

Always routing to the best nodes

Direct continuously monitors the network — tracking which nodes are healthy, fast, and well-priced — and routes each request to the best ones available, spreading load across many for throughput and failover. This work happens inside the peer-to-peer network itself (handled by relay nodes that sit between clients and RPC nodes), so there’s no central controller to become a bottleneck or a point of failure.

Buying wholesale

High-volume customers can buy into the network at wholesale rates, getting direct access to the same network of nodes at the price it runs on rather than paying per request at retail.
