eth_blobBaseFee

Returns the base fee per blob gas in wei.

Parameters

No parameters. Send an empty params array.

Return value

The current blob base fee in wei, encoded as a hexadecimal quantity.

Example

Replace <gateway-url> with your gateway base URL and <service-url> with the chain’s service path, such as service/ethereum.

Direct behavior

Available only on networks implementing the blob-fee API and through providers with verified support. It is not a requirement for unrelated EVM networks. See network-specific methods.

For providers

Support is checked against the selected network’s applicable API. Providers on networks without this API do not need to implement it.
