Supported methods
Direct RPC accepts standard JSON-RPC calls through your local or managed gateway. Each method page documents its parameters, return value, example, and Direct-specific limits and behavior.

Trace and debug methods
The methods below support execution tracing and simulation. Their pages describe the accepted options, output formats, and limits.
Trace methods
| Method | Notes |
|---|---|
trace_block | — |
trace_call | Up to 30 million gas. Supports call traces (trace), state changes (stateDiff), or both. |
trace_callMany | Up to 20 sequential calls, 30 million gas per call, and 100 million gas in total. |
trace_filter | Up to 1,000 blocks per search and 1,000 results per page. Pagination offset cannot exceed 10,000. |
trace_get | — |
trace_rawTransaction | Up to 30 million gas. Supports call traces (trace), state changes (stateDiff), or both. |
trace_replayBlockTransactions | Supports call traces (trace), state changes (stateDiff), or both. |
trace_replayTransaction | Supports call traces (trace), state changes (stateDiff), or both. |
trace_transaction | — |
Debug methods
| Method | Notes |
|---|---|
debug_traceBlockByHashdebug_traceBlockByNumber | Supports callTracer and prestateTracer. |
debug_traceCall | Up to 30 million gas. Supports callTracer and prestateTracer. |
debug_traceTransaction | Supports callTracer and prestateTracer. |
Shared request behavior
HTTP POST accepts individual calls and batches. WebSockets also carry ordinary requests alongside subscriptions. URLs follow the gateway and service-path convention established in the Quickstart.
For supported reads, Direct resolves latest to a shared block rather than letting each provider choose independently. See block consistency for the behavior and its boundaries.
For a failed call, see Troubleshooting requests.
Batches
A batch is sent to one provider, and each call is billed separately. See Pricing. Recovery depends on the methods it contains; see Routing requests and handling failures.
For standard batch semantics, see the JSON-RPC specification.
